A rewarding position as a Park Manager is available in Central Queensland for individuals passionate about conservation and land management. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside the Ghungalu people, managing their spiritual lands and protecting natural wonders.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement park management plans, including strategic planning and resource allocation.
- Maintain equipment, control pests, conduct planned burning and wildfire suppression, and maintain park infrastructure.
- Manage small projects, undertake compliance duties, and perform natural and cultural resource management tasks.
- Provide on-ground supervision and work collaboratively with others to ensure high-quality park management services.
- Assist with emergency responses, monitor workplace health and safety, and procure goods and services as required.
- Formal qualifications in Conservation and Land Management are highly regarded.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Practical skills and experience in equipment maintenance and operation.
- Ability to undertake law enforcement and compliance duties, willingness to assist with emergency response and incident management.
- Commitment to adaptability, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
