We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Information Security Officer to join our team at Surf Life Saving QLD. As a senior executive, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining our enterprise information security strategy and program.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Security Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy and risk management plan that aligns with our business objectives, regulatory and compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Lead Cybersecurity Program: Lead the implementation and oversight of our cybersecurity program, including developing security policies, standards, procedures, risk, and compliance activities.
- Business Continuity Planning: Develop, implement, and maintain a business continuity plan to ensure the continuity of our operations in the event of a disaster or major disruption.
- Cybersecurity Awareness: Foster a culture of security awareness among our staff and promote best IT practices and regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess security and organisational risks, and implement security measures to mitigate these risks.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards, including those related to critical infrastructure protection and privacy.
- Leadership and Development: Lead and develop our IT staff, and manage relationships with key external stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in information technology, cybersecurity, risk management, or related fields.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar high-level position, with in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, industry standards, frameworks, and best practices.
- Skills: Excellent project and incident management and leadership skills, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, and strong commercial acumen.
