Telecom Network Designer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Telecom Network Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and planning communications OSP networks.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in planning, design, and detailed documentation of communications' OSP networks. They will possess a strong understanding of networking concepts, IP addressing, and subnet masking, as well as network switches and routers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing or data filling Direct line, Multi-line, Voice, and other IP-VPN products across access types
  • Preparing Field Inspection Reports and Land Access and Statutory Approvals documentation
  • Ensuring area plans, detailed designs, and documentation meet defined quality standards
  • Delivering customer service orders within defined time lines

The successful candidate will also assist the team in providing inputs for process improvement and optimize design rules. They will possess good command over technical writing and documentation skills.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in planning, design, and detailed documentation of communications' OSP networks
  • Understanding of networking concepts, IP addressing, and subnet masking, network switches and routers
  • Networking certifications such as CCNA/CCNP are highly preferable
  • Understanding of direct fiber access network that includes active and passive devices
  • Understanding of aerial, underground, and intra-building designs standards of NBN will be an added advantage
