Aboriginal Child Protection Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Aboriginal Child Protection Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of Aboriginal children and families.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders to provide sensitive and respectful support to parents, family members, children or young people. They will also assist families in formulating goals that align with their needs, addressing safety and well-being concerns, and provide appropriate assistance through home visits.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing safety plans and completing risk assessments\
  • Managing cases and situations, including working with high needs and high-risk clients and their families\
  • Being involved in court processes, including the preparation of court documents and attending court\
  • Participating in individual and group supervision\
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records\\/ul\
