Chief Cyber Security Strategist

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Architect to lead the development and delivery of a unified cyber security architecture for complex Air Command and Control systems.
This role involves design, delivery, and documentation of cyber security architecture and processes ensuring alignment with Defence and Australian Government standards.
Responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders across Defence, RAAF, CIOG, and certification authorities to ensure compliance.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Security Architect in large-scale ICT projects with deep technical expertise.
They must have strong knowledge of cyber security policies, standards, and frameworks, advanced technical writing, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Additionally, they should be able to work independently and collaboratively with Defence and industry stakeholders.
Apart from these skills, familiarity with Defence cyber worthiness concepts and architecture frameworks like DODAF, TOGAF, SABSA, or UAF is highly desirable.
Key Requirements- Proven experience as a Security Architect in large-scale ICT projects with deep technical expertise.
- Strong knowledge of cyber security policies, standards, and frameworks.
- Advanced technical writing, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with Defence and industry stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Defence cyber worthiness concepts and architecture frameworks.
