Drakes Supermarkets is a leading Australian supermarket chain with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and team development. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Duty Manager to join our team and lead our grocery department to success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of retail staff to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
- Develop and implement effective ordering and cost control strategies to minimize waste and maximize profitability
- Collaborate with management to create and implement staff rosters that meet business needs
- Provide coaching, training, and performance management to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to succeed
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to work health and safety standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience in leading and managing retail teams
- Strong knowledge of grocery retail operations and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and driving business results
