About the Role

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Meal preparation: Preparing meals according to the menus designed by the Head Chef, ensuring they are nutritious, appealing, and meet the specific dietary needs of individual residents
  • Special diets: Accommodating special dietary requirements, such as texture-modified diets, to cater to the unique health conditions and preferences of our residents
  • Food safety and hygiene: Adhering to strict food safety and hygiene standards to prevent foodborne illnesses and maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment
  • Quality control: Monitoring the quality of ingredients and finished dishes, ensuring they meet high standards in taste, appearance, and portion sizes
  • Collaboration with kitchen staff: Working as part of a team in the kitchen, collaborating with other kitchen staff, to ensure efficient meal preparation and service

Requirements

  • Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
  • Adaptable, passionate, and willing to learn
  • Collaborative and skilled at teamwork
  • Friendly and effective communication abilities
