About the Role

Arcare Aged Care is seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in enhancing the overall quality of life for our residents by providing delicious and nutritious meals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing meals according to our menus, ensuring that they are nutritious, appealing, and meet the specific dietary needs of our residents. You will also be responsible for accommodating special dietary requirements, such as texture-modified diets, and adhering to strict food safety and hygiene standards.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation: Prepare meals according to our menus, ensuring that they are nutritious, appealing, and meet the specific dietary needs of our residents.
• Special Diets: Accommodate special dietary requirements, such as texture-modified diets, to cater to the unique health conditions and preferences of our residents.
• Food Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards to prevent foodborne illnesses and maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
• Quality Control: Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished dishes, ensuring that they meet high standards in taste, appearance, and portion sizes.
• Collaboration with Kitchen Staff: Work as part of a team in the kitchen, collaborating with other kitchen staff, to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.

Requirements

• Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery).
• Adaptable, passionate and willingness to learn.
• Collaborative and skilled at teamwork.
• Friendly and effective communication abilities.
