HVAC Engineer I

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Engineer I to join our team. As an HVAC Engineer I, you will be responsible for adjusting, repairing, troubleshooting and maintaining heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adjusts, repairs, troubleshoots and maintains heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
  • Performs all preventive maintenance on systems and maintains applicable log books.
  • Conducts walk-through inspections; changes belts, filters, adjusts volume dampers, checks gauges, coils, drain lines, bleeds gas lines, resets compressors, check unit sensors, relocates ductwork and troubleshoots to locate sources and cause of malfunction.
  • Assists with estimating parts, supplies, equipment and labor hours needed to complete assigned repairs and monitors computer for malfunctions.
  • Maintains quality of air, air flow and temperature at facilities; adjusts valves to regulate temperature of lubrication oil and flow of water through system.
  • Records gauge readings, repairs completed and time lost due to inoperative equipment.
  • Maintains technical logs and records all relevant data as appropriate.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or technical certificate required as well as a minimum of three (3) years' experience with commercial industrial equipment or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
  • A Florida state EPA HVAC License is also required.
  • Possess basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be able to read, understand and interpret schematics, plans, diagrams and drawings.
