The Role

We are seeking a skilled Handyman to join our team and oversee maintenance operations across our childcare centres in VIC. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong background in maintenance and repair work.

Responsibilities:

• Fixing broken furniture
• Repairing or replacing broken toys and play equipment
• Fixing minor plumbing issues
• Cleaning gutters
• Pressure cleaning exterior surfaces
• Touching up paint on walls or furniture
• Changing light bulbs
• Cleaning and maintaining HVAC systems
• Keeping outdoor areas tidy
• Responding promptly to urgent maintenance issues
• Ensuring emergency exits are clear and operational
• Installing new equipment or fixtures as needed
• Setting up temporary structures for events or activities
• Mowing lawns and maintaining outdoor landscaping

Essential Criteria 

• Working with Children's Check Clearance
• Valid Police Check or willing to obtain one
• Full driver's license
• Own tools
• Own vehicle
• 1-2 years experience in a similar role
• Physically fit and healthy
• Good verbal and written communication skills
