Project Administrator Role

This is a 12-month fixed-term position based in Australia.

AEMO operates as Australia's independent energy system and market operator, responsible for planning the nation's energy markets.

  • Support the EMCC ways of working by coordinating logistics for stakeholder meetings, enhancing operational efficiency and maintaining up-to-date tools such as Jira & Confluence.
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings, forums, and workshops, including scheduling, logistics, materials preparation, and post-meeting action tracking.
  • Develop, execute and maintain document version control, risk and issue registers, and documentation according to AEMO/EMCC governance requirements.

The successful candidate will significantly contribute to supporting the EMCC team during this critical transition in the energy sector.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist with tracking and updating workload requests, schedules, milestones, and key tasks across the EMCC streams.
  • Manage and maintain Jira boards and Confluence spaces, ensuring timely updates to monthly/quarterly cycles, actions, issues, and documentation.
  • Raise and track purchase orders (POs), process invoices, and manage procurement workflows using Microsoft Dynamics 365 enterprise finance system.
  • Document problems and issues; manage resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned while collecting and disseminating relevant information.
Essential Skills
  • Strong experience in project coordination, administration, or PMO support roles, preferably within cybersecurity, energy, or regulated industries.
  • Mandatory skills include procurement and project management, financial/budget management, scheduling and resource management.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail in tracking activities across multiple workstreams.
  • Familiarity with the energy sector, critical infrastructure, or government-related cybersecurity programs.
