Lion is seeking a Senior AWS Data Engineer to drive the expansion and optimization of our Data & Analytics platform. As a key member of our team, you will design, build, and deploy optimized data pipelines and architectures using AWS technologies.

The Opportunity:

  • Design and implement data pipelines and architectures that meet business requirements and ensure security and governance.
  • Drive business value creation by integrating new data platform toolsets into our innovation pipeline.
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet business needs, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Update existing data models and metadata repositories for new use cases.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, including automation, data delivery optimization, and infrastructure scalability redesign.

What We're Looking For:

  • Extensive experience with AWS architecture, technologies, and services, with a strong understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, ETL, visualization, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in data engineering tools and languages such as SQL, Python, Athena, Redshift, and Glue.
  • Deep knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, data marts, and metadata management best practices.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in modern data platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) and data engineering, with strong Agile delivery skills and a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or a related field.
