About the Role

AusNet Services is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Accounting Lead to join our Group Reporting & Accounting Management team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial reporting to the Australian Energy Regulator (AER).

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and project manage the audit of all reporting to the AER, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial information.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to regulatory accounting and reporting.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including the AER and internal teams.
  • Reconcile statutory, regulatory, and internal management reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a utilities and/or infrastructure environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
  • CA or CPA qualification.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence and drive outcomes with various stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and ability to provide value-add detailed review.
  • Growth mindset and ability to take on large amounts of new information.
