About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Forensic Accountant to join our dynamic team at Lead Group in Melbourne. As a Forensic Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in conducting forensic analysis and investigations, and providing expert advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis and Modelling: Assist with the quantification, analysis, and modelling of financial and non-financial information to assess economic loss.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis of a variety of business, industry, and economic data/information.
  • Valuation Services: Work in the construction of valuations for a range of businesses within a litigation or contentious context.
  • Project Management: Assist in the planning and management of projects and cases.
  • Client Liaison: Be able to actively liaise with clients and referrers on a day-to-day basis.
  • Autonomy and Guidance: Have the opportunity to manage matters under direct Partner guidance and be provided with autonomy to manage your projects and completion of deliverables to deadlines.
Requirements
  • Business Valuations and Dispute Work: A focus on business valuations, dispute, and litigation work.
  • Relevant Experience: Experience of at least 1-2 years working in a relevant CA firm.
  • Forensic Accounting Experience: Exposure to some forensic or business evaluation work is great, but certainly not essential.
  • Interest in Forensic Accounting: A genuine interest in forensic accounting with a desire to build a successful career.
  • Key Skills: Good attention to detail, analytical brain, and lateral thinking. Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in explaining technical concepts in plain English. Continuing interest in developing and maintaining knowledge of current and evolving economic, business and industry issues.
  • Time Management: An ability to work with changing and competing priorities to meet deadlines.
