Open Spaces and Facilities Maintenance

This is an opportunity to contribute to the operational needs of a local council by carrying out works to maintain open spaces, facilities, and amenities.



Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver multi-skilled labouring, cleaning, gardening, and maintenance and repair assistance work to meet agreed service levels.
  • Operate plant in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Provide back up for garbage, recycling, and street sweeper operations as required.
  • Promote information sharing and knowledge transfer to drive evidence-based decision-making, enhance capability, and optimise capacity.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to carry out open spaces, facilities, and amenities maintenance and repair work.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate plant and equipment correctly and safely.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
  • Construction Induction Certificate (White Card).
  • Class MR drivers' licence.
