Bushland Works Leadership Opportunity

This role presents a unique chance for an experienced Bushland Works professional to join our team and contribute to the management of Melbourne's diverse natural environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for communicating site knowledge to the Bushland team, contractors, and friends groups, supervising and mentoring on-ground staff, including apprentices.

We are seeking a proactive individual with a can-do attitude, able to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering manual bushland management works, daily supervision of on-ground staff, environmental volunteer groups, and contractors.
  • Communicating with various groups, including contractors, Council staff, and community groups.

Requirements:

  • A proven track record in carrying out manual bushland management works.
  • Qualifications in Natural Resource Management or related discipline (or extensive relevant experience).
  • First Aid Certificate, Australian Chemical Users permit, Arboriculture assessment training, Traffic Management, Medium Rigid licence, Basic Wildlife Awareness – highly regarded but not essential.
