Key Role:

A Media and Communications Officer plays a pivotal part in the success of a Senator's office, providing critical support in communicating key messages to the public.

This role involves creating and disseminating compelling content across various media platforms, coordinating media appearances, and facilitating effective electorate outreach.

Travel is an integral component of this position, with regular trips within Tasmania and occasional interstate travel required.

The successful applicant will be tasked with developing and implementing proactive media strategies, building relationships with journalists and media outlets, and ensuring timely updates on social media and the Senator's website.

Employment Conditions:

The position comes with a salary range between $76,910 and $89,793, depending on experience and relevant skills. The selected applicant may also be eligible for relocation assistance, studies assistance, and paid study leave.
