This is a position for an experienced Secondary School Leader with a strong focus on teaching, learning and classroom practice.

Job Description:

The successful applicant will have experience in leading the development and delivery of programs to support academic achievement, engagement and wellbeing for students. They will also have the ability to lead ongoing curriculum reform and professional learning for staff across Kindergarten to Year 6.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice through effective leadership and management.
  • To design and implement quality teaching and learning programs that meet the needs of diverse students.
  • To build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
Requirements:
  1. Successful teaching experience with a proven track record of improving student outcomes.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
Selection Criteria:
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.
  • Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
