About the Position:
A seasoned structural project engineer is required to oversee the structural package for a large-scale construction project in the Solomon Islands.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in structural design, analysis, and project execution on complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and prepare detailed mark-ups of structural designs to ensure project requirements are met.
- Oversee material and structure quality for load capacity, durability, and environmental resilience.
- Manage quality assurance for all structural works, conducting regular inspections to maintain high standards and compliance.
- Collaborate closely with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve design and construction challenges.
- Monitor project timelines, budget allocations, and resource use to meet project milestones efficiently.
- 7+ years of structural engineering experience in the construction industry, ideally with experience working on large-scale projects.
- Expertise in structural design, analysis, and project execution.
- PMP certification and eligibility to register on the state structural engineering register are preferred.
- Strong understanding of local regulations and standards, with a minimum of 5 years' experience working in the Australian construction industry.
- Willingness to travel overseas for site visits during the construction stage.
