Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a qualified educator to join our Children's Services Team at the North Carlton Children's Centre.

The City of Yarra provides early childhood education centres with integrated kindergarten, sessional kindergartens, and occasional care programs.

The successful applicant will work in a safe and inclusive environment where educators collaborate with children, families, and the community to meet their needs.

About the Role

This role involves leading the implementation of high-quality educational programs, facilitating children's play, and creating innovative learning environments that promote social and emotional learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues;
  • Implement effective teaching strategies to promote children's learning and development;
  • Plan and deliver engaging educational programs that cater to diverse needs and interests;
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment that promotes children's physical, social, and emotional well-being;
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that ensure a child-safe environment.

Requirements

  • A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent);
  • Up-to-date First Aid, CPR, EpiPen, and Asthma Management qualifications;
  • A valid Working with Children Check;
  • Current mandatory reporting training.
