Transportation and Maintenance Role

We are seeking a permanent part-time Transportation and Maintenance professional to join our Accommodation Service Team.

This role is crucial in ensuring the safe transport of residents on outings and visits, as well as maintaining our residences and gardens.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport residents and other passengers safely and efficiently
  • Perform regular vehicle inspections and maintain accurate records
  • Complete risk assessments for each bus route and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Assist passengers with getting on and off the bus as needed
  • Perform routine maintenance activities inside and outside the home, including preventative maintenance schedule
  • Maintain records using established systems and processes
  • Receive deliveries and manage bulk storeroom
  • Maintain the grounds of the home

Requirements:

  • Current NSW Driving Licence Class LR (Light Rigid)
  • Some experience in maintenance would be highly regarded
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work semi-autonomously
  • Experience and understanding of Legislative requirements for Essential Services and WHS requirements for maintenance & repairs
  • A positive, proactive approach and be well presented at all times
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Knowledge of the aged care industry will be favourably considered
  • Current Police Check and valid working rights
  • Current Influenza vaccination
  • COVID-19 vaccination including booster
