Job Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning and construction meetings, ensuring stakeholder concerns are addressed early and effectively.

The role involves managing day-to-day stakeholder interactions, including enquiries, complaints, and access negotiations. It also requires developing and implementing community engagement plans, managing proactive communications such as works notifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend and contribute to regular customer and community engagement team meetings
  • Maintain the program's stakeholder database and image library
Requirements
  • Proven experience in infrastructure, water, or government projects is highly desirable
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • IAP2 certification (International Association for Public Participation) is preferred but not essential
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Hold a valid C Class Driving License
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities
