Job Opportunity
This is a role that involves leading integrated water projects across the Barwon region, developing partnerships with councils and key stakeholders.
About the Position
As the Barwon Region Water Management Advisor, you will work on projects to deliver water management outcomes across the Region.
You will assist councils and stakeholders in embedding water management principles into planning and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with members of the Water Management Forum to build capability, share knowledge, and coordinate projects enhancing community sustainability and water resilience.
- Organise regular meetings, set clear agendas, define timelines and accountabilities, ensuring effective reporting and progress toward common goals.
- Provide oversight of project risks and lead activities to raise awareness of Water Management within the Forum.
About You
We are seeking a strategic thinker who can work independently and collaboratively with diverse organisations.
Key skills include strong communication and influencing skills, initiative, and ability to build strong relationships.
Qualifications in environmental science, engineering or similar fields combined with an understanding of water management and stormwater management are highly valued.
