**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Influence Specialist to join our team.

This key role will focus on developing and implementing Council's advocacy plans to influence policy and investment decisions for the City of Whittlesea.

**Key Responsibilities**

Develop and implement advocacy strategies that support Council's goals and objectives

Provide specialist advice and expertise to internal stakeholders on policy and legislative matters

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including State and Commonwealth departments

Prepare briefing documents, submissions, and other materials as required

Support the development of stakeholder engagement plans and review political messaging

**Requirements**

Politically savvy and strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills

Able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals

Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Demonstrated experience in policy development, public affairs, or advocacy in a government setting

**What We Offer**

A competitive salary package of $97,785 per annum, plus superannuation and flexible working arrangements

19 day month with RDO or 9 day fortnight option, your choice
