Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Import/Export Team Lead to join our team at Maersk. As a key member of our Import/Export team, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in managing import and export operations, ensuring smooth execution of shipments, and building strong relationships within the Maersk network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Lead a team of import and export professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure successful execution of shipments.
- Network Relationship: Build and maintain strong relationships with regional and central teams to align on business processes, service needs, and global requirements.
- Customer Experience: Own customer experience and lead the team to achieve best-in-class customer service.
- Process Execution: Ensure smooth execution of end-to-end shipments by working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- Standard Adherence: Adhere to processes in line with agreed execution standards and customer-specific IOPs, monitoring respective KPIs.
- Business Growth: Identify and execute upselling opportunities, driving business growth through the network and collaborating with product teams.
Requirements:
- Strong ocean import and export process knowledge.
- Cargowise knowledge and experience.
- Experience in handling and processing dangerous goods/Hazardous export shipments-DG qualified, including DG Hub and Ships lodgement experience.
- Experience in Trans Tasman Trade would be a bonus.
- Ability to work to deadlines and own a task from beginning to end.
- Willingness to adapt and embrace change.
- Good people leadership skills.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and excellent negotiating skills.
- Ability to engage and link multiple parties across functions and geographies.
- Ability to understand and interpret performance data.
