Senior Financial Analyst Position

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Financial Analyst to provide valuable financial analysis, reporting, and strategic guidance to support informed decision-making processes.

  • Produce accurate monthly management reports and financial data for effective budget monitoring, including variance analysis for stakeholders.
  • Review, post journals, and investigate errors in the SAP and Business Warehouse systems.
  • Nurture collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders through regular meetings to address financial concerns.
  • Contribute to budget planning, forecasting, and financial modelling, identifying implications and supporting the annual Estimates process.
  • Monitor compliance with Government financial legislation and departmental policies for asset capitalization.
  • Enhance finance functions by reviewing and refining systems, procedures, and reporting methods using SAP and Business Warehouse.
  • Offer professional expertise in project accounting and asset management.
  • Maintain adherence to Government financial legislation and departmental policies for financial reporting and operational matters.

  • Demonstrated experience with SAP cost centre accounting, including a high level of computer literacy in Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to obtain and interpret information and make suitable recommendations.
  • Thorough knowledge of legislation and policies relating to financial and operational issues.
  • Ability to provide advice, guidance, and training to the team, ensuring adherence to all policies and standards and effective use of established systems and tools.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Business, or other related studies would be highly regarded.
