Key Responsibilities

Provide high-level guidance to senior executives and departmental staff on ICT procurement best practices and activities in a centralised procurement environment.

Lead routine and significant ICT related procurement projects by taking ownership of procurement plans, tender development, tender management, evaluation advice, contract negotiations, and drafting of contracts using the Queensland Information Technology Contracting framework.

Conduct research and prepare complex submissions, reports, briefing materials, and correspondence for senior executives on procurement-related activities.

Establish and maintain strategic working relationships within the department, across government agencies, and with suppliers.

Requirements

  • Strong written skills for comprehensive procurement documentation
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Substantial capability and experience in Qld Government ICT sourcing, including in-depth knowledge of the Queensland Procurement Policy and QITC contracts
  • Must have PCP Level 3 or CIPS certification
