Job Title: Finance Business Partner - Assistant Director

Location: VIC - Geelong or VIC - Richmond (remote working arrangements may be considered)

About the Role

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our Agency Budget and Financial Control Branch.

As a Finance Business Partner, you will provide strategic financial advice to assist with decision making through forecasting and reporting, and act as a connection between the business and the broader Finance Branch.

This role requires relevant academic qualifications with membership of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA), Certified Practising Accountants (CPA), or other equivalent professional finance bodies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver end of month outputs for assigned Groups, ensuring quality outcome and timeliness.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders, creating trusted partnerships with business key stakeholders, and assisting with planning, strategy development, and risk mitigation.
  • Lead implementation of financial decisions and budget processes.
  • Lead financial policy and procedure development and updates.
  • Initiate and implement innovations and improvements of existing business practices to achieve efficiency.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated understanding of the government financial environment.
  • Experience in developing reports & dashboards for presenting to Senior Management.
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in complex problem solving and issues management.
  • Prior experience leading teams and strong time management skills.
  • Experience working with various systems such as SAS Enterprise Guide, SAP Financial systems, and Microsoft Suite.
