About Springfield Central State High School

About the Role
You will lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.

  • Display high-quality leadership that influences the engagement, improvement, achievement and wellbeing of staff and students.
  • Uphold the Deputy Principalship as a values-based, ethical and moral activity.
  • Work collaboratively with the leadership team to ensure streamlined Day 8 procedures.
  • Foster positive working relationships with feeder schools.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement embedding school-wide ICT practices to build staff and student capacity.

  • Promote student well-being by implementing pastoral care programs and interventions designed to support mental health, resilience, and social-emotional development.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment where the school's values of Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, and Relationships are upheld.
  • Provide strategic leadership for the Year 7 cohort, ensuring alignment of student development with school policies, educational goals, and core values.

Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and be able to form partnerships with parents, other relevant stakeholders, and understand legislation and policies impacting schooling.
