Boral is seeking an experienced Administrator / Resource Scheduler to join our team in Cairns QLD.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the contracting operations for our Far North Qld Region in asphalt and spray seal operation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Effective planning and coordination of works to ensure time and budgetary objectives are achieved
  • Collaboration with internal team members, locally and regionally, and external customers to ensure effective allocation of resources
  • Review and optimise labour utilisation, plant and equipment maintenance and availability
  • Coordination and management of subcontractors
  • Coordination of business training
  • Purchasing, payroll, job costing and other admin duties as required
  • HSEQ support for the business

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in a senior Administration, Scheduling or Coordination (or similar) role within a similar industry
  • Purchasing, payroll and job costing experience will be highly regarded
  • Ability to establish strong working relationship with our contractors, clients and our team members
  • Heavy Vehicle and Chain of Responsibility knowledge (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and practical project management skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Highly developed computer skills and the ability to learn new systems
