Data Governance Lead Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of data governance and strategy within a high-impact organisation.

The successful applicant will work across departments to define and deliver the organisation's data strategy, champion best practices in data governance, develop robust policies and procedures, and ensure data is accessible, accurate, and aligned with compliance standards.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Champion organisational understanding of data's role and value
  • Define and implement data governance policies, procedures, and quality standards
  • Monitor alignment to governance frameworks and legal compliance (e.g. Privacy Act)
  • Collaborate with Security and Architecture teams to ensure governance is embedded in data solutions
  • Promote best practices in dashboard and visualisation management
  • Support leaders in developing meaningful reports and control systems
  • Improve stewardship and metadata management processes
  • Ensure large and complex data sets are usable, understandable, and well-governed

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with cloud platforms, skilled in Power BI, exposed to Python, SQL, GIT, and XML, and hands-on experience with data governance tools.
