We are seeking a dedicated Family Violence Specialist to join our team in Alice Springs.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new program from the ground up, shaping how services are delivered and making a lasting impact in the community.
As a Family Violence Specialist, you will work closely with a community housing provider to support clients in transitional homes for family violence survivors. You will provide ongoing support for 3 months after clients exit the program, ensuring they have a smooth transition into their new life.
About this role:
- Work independently with guidance from Family Violence Management to support clients in 8 transitional homes for family violence survivors.
- Provide case management, safety planning, and referrals to ensure clients receive the best possible support.
- Operate effectively within diverse communities, understanding local services and housing options in Alice Springs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor-level qualification ideal, but we welcome applicants with strong family violence experience and/or identified candidates.
- Experience working with people impacted by family violence.
- Skills in case management, safety planning, and referrals.
