Geotechnical Engineer Career Path

The 2026 Graduate Geotechnical Engineer program is a 2-year opportunity designed to foster diverse skills and knowledge. Graduates will gain exposure to various sectors, laying the foundation for a successful and enduring career.

  • Project Support: Assist senior engineers in planning, designing, and executing civil, environmental, geotechnical, and closure & remediation projects.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to support team decisions and project outcomes.
  • Technical Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to ensure cutting-edge engineering solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, reports, and drawings.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and solve engineering problems to improve processes and product quality.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.

Applicants must have a recent graduate or graduating before February 2026 degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field. Relevant work rights to live and work full-time in Australia are also required. Previous student vacation/internship experience in a consulting environment is highly desired.
