About the Role

This is a permanent, part-time position based in Darwin, offering 30.4 hours per week.

The position reports to a Team Leader and salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award, level 3.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide opportunities for clients to engage in recreational activities or recovery-related activities.
  2. Offer transport to clients participating in the program.
  3. Maintain regular communication with all team members.
  4. Establish and maintain professional relationships with residents.
  5. Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents impacting resident safety and security in accordance with site policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Lived experience of mental health and/or homelessness.
  • An understanding of factors contributing to recovery from a lived experience perspective.
  • Experience supporting people struggling with mental health and/or homelessness, including volunteer work.
  • Skills in co-facilitating groups (or willingness to learn).
  • National Police Check prior to commencement.
  • NT Working with Children Ochre Card check prior to commencement.
  • Current NT driver's license.
  • Certificate of Full Vaccination status for Covid-19.
