Job Description

Reporting to the Head of External Reporting & Advice, the Group External Reporting Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of the external financial reporting and governance requirements for the Qantas Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Group External Reporting and Advice team in delivering external financial reporting and governance requirements.
  • Provide technical accounting advice to the business on key transactions and ensure correct implementation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business units to ensure alignment on financial reporting requirements.
  • Drive excellence and accuracy of financial reporting through effective leadership and guidance.
  • Coordinate with the wider finance group to deliver key information to support Group Finance, Investor Relations, and Corporate Communications.

Requirements:

  • Accreditation with CA/CPA or equivalent and over 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information.
  • A strong understanding of financial reporting standards and experience of delivering external reporting in a large ASX listed organisation.
