About the Role

Talent Nation Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting our General Manager of Sustainability & ESG and the broader organization in achieving its sustainability and ESG objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight of environmental and greenhouse gas emissions data and reporting systems to ensure compliance with external disclosure, assurance, and regulatory requirements, including the NGER Act and Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards.
  • Support the development and execution of strategies to achieve climate and environment targets.
  • Facilitate transition to ISSB reporting, ensuring adherence to governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Management of annual NABERS Energy, Water, and Waste certifications.
  • Oversight of annual Green Star Performance certification.
  • Manage climate adaptation and resilience initiatives and disclosures.
  • Lead the implementation of decarbonisation, circular economy, and biodiversity initiatives.
  • Collaborate with teams across all levels to enhance organisational understanding of decarbonisation and environmental sustainability through communication, awareness, and training.
About You

You will be a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong project and stakeholder management skills. The ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders through strong communication and presentation skills is critical to ensure sustainability goals and targets are met. You will have technical expertise in climate and environmental measurement frameworks, sustainability reporting standards, and property rating systems.

Additionally, you will have:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in sustainability or environmental management within large, complex organizations or consulting.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of managing multiple deadlines.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and report writing skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in environmental science, environmental engineering, or related field is essential.
