About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our Technology team. This is an excellent opportunity for you to showcase your expertise in cloud infrastructure management and contribute to the development of our digital platforms.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure across our Public & Private Clouds. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery and operation of our cloud platforms, data, integration, and analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement automated deployments using infrastructure-as-code technologies such as Terraform.
  • Ensure cloud infrastructure is properly patched, monitored, and maintained to prevent security vulnerabilities and downtime.
  • Monitor and analyse trends in system performance, cost, capacity, and reliability to optimise cloud resource utilisation.
  • Implement new technologies within the Google Cloud space to improve processes and enhance our cloud infrastructure.
  • Build and maintain high availability systems through automation and self-service to application and business teams.
  • Create and maintain operational documentation including configuration support manuals as the environment evolves.
  • Uplift governance on the GCP platform and develop self-service cost management dashboards.
  • Develop and optimise continuous integration and deployment processes to streamline software releases.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated (5+ years) experience working with GCP and a proven track record of building cloud infrastructure.
  • A strong understanding of GCP VPC, security, and monitoring, with experience implementing best practices.
  • Good knowledge of Kubernetes, Containers, Terraform, GitHub, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Docker, Helm, Rancher, and Vault.
  • Proficiency in CICD tools and technologies including Jira, GitHub, Buildkite, Grafana, ArgoCD, and Atlantis.

Estimated Salary

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and location.
