As a seasoned executive, you will lead business growth and operations oversight for the southeast region, primarily focused on warehouse industrial projects with some focus on light manufacturing, office and mixed-use retail/hospitality.

Responsibilities include developing new client relationships, supporting estimating, overseeing preconstruction and construction services, and managing subcontractor relationships to achieve business objectives and ensure successful project execution and positive client relations.

  • Build strong client relationships through initiative contact, organization, and proposal effort within budget goals. Manage client relationships from initial lead to close out and promote goodwill with Owner's representatives to develop repeat business opportunities.
  • Develop an overall business strategy in collaboration with senior management and partner with key stakeholders to determine and implement new market initiatives.
  • Oversee preconstruction, including design, estimating and project management personnel. Prepare conceptual budgets and schedules with milestones for critical activities and direct project managers in schedule preparation based on client needs.
  • Lead the development of major proposals and presentations to win business and train and assist project personnel to make effective client presentations.
  • Maintain efficient management team communication through regular interactions with Design Consultants, General Managers, Director of Operations, and other key stakeholders.
  • Cultivate and mentor direct reports through regular one-on-one discussions and quarterly check-ins.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 15 years of industry experience with significant local industrial warehouse sector exposure strongly preferred.
  • An undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or relevant discipline required.
  • A proven track record of developing new clients, closing deals, and growing business with existing clients.
  • Experience in managing preconstruction services and leveraging subcontractor relationships to meet client needs.
  • Strong financial skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing financial statements.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, strong presentation skills, and ability to run meetings at all levels of the organization.
  • The ability to build strong relationships, establish interpersonal connections, conduct business professionally, and treat others with respect.
  • Coaching and mentoring skills to develop and challenge direct reports.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • An analytical orientation toward market trends and the ability to take appropriate action.
  • Enthusiasm and performance-driven individual who pursues excellence in translating employer brand passion vision/mission into operational plans, goals, and schedules.
