Your New Role

As a Government Relations Adviser, you will collaborate with our Senior Manager to undertake research and policy analysis. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Providing timely analysis of emerging regulatory and legislative changes in consultation with experts
  • Preparing evidentiary research on key policy issues
  • Preparing submissions in response to parliamentary inquiries on behalf of the fund
  • Developing sound policy suggestions to improve Australia's superannuation system and related regulatory frameworks
  • Coordinating electorate office constituent requests with member operations experts

You will partner with our Public Policy team to enhance our reputation through policy positioning and engagement ultimately delivering the best outcomes for our members.

Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A post-graduate degree in economics law finance or social sciences
  • Strong technical skills in public policy analysis data analysis legal and regulatory policy
  • A high-level understanding of public policy frameworks legislative and policy development processes
  • Policy and legislative analysis skills including identifying potential impacts of policy change across complex organisations
  • Excellent research and analytical skills as well as the ability to communicate complex information in simple language
