Job Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced policy professional to join our team.
  • This is a highly collaborative and externally focused role that places you at the intersection of government, industry, and internal subject matter experts (SMEs).

About the Role:

  1. Building strong partnerships with peak industry bodies to coordinate and communicate on major policy issues.
  2. Engaging with SMEs to develop high-quality submissions to government and regulators.
  3. Representing the organization in industry working groups and capturing outcomes to inform strategic alignment.
  4. Tracking policy developments and translating emerging legislative changes into actionable insights.
  5. Partnering with regulatory change leads to support internal readiness and cross-functional understanding.
  6. Contributing to broader Public & Corporate Affairs initiatives that position the organization at the forefront of thought leadership.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years' experience in public policy, corporate affairs, or related roles—ideally within superannuation, financial services, or government.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australia's regulatory and legislative environment, including key frameworks and stakeholders such as SMC and ASFA.
  • Proven ability to influence, engage, and build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A confident communicator with excellent writing skills and experience preparing briefing papers, submissions, and executive correspondence.
  • Tertiary qualifications in public policy, political science, communications, or equivalent experience.
