Process Control Specialist Job

Located in Western Australia's largest dry mining mineral sands operation, this role offers a unique opportunity to work on a state-of-the-art plant with multiple pits spanning over 20kms.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Process Control Specialist to support our operational site in all aspects of plant process control systems, network maintenance and development. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for PLC and SCADA programming/configuration changes, providing after-hours support and identifying changes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

About the Role:
  • Supporting the operational site in all aspects of plant process control systems, network maintenance and development
  • Performing PLC and SCADA programming/configuration changes for upgrade projects or identified operational improvements
  • Providing after-hours support (troubleshooting) if required to ensure operating plant downtime is minimised and plant integrity is not compromised
  • Identifying changes to plant and/or procedures which will contribute to cost reduction and improved efficiency of operation
  • Assisting with continuous improvement of plant process control systems
Requirements:
  • Engineering, computing qualifications and/or an electrical trade background
  • Previous experience in an industrial or mining environment
  • Experience with SCADA configuration and development
  • Experience with PLC and DCS programming and fault-finding
  • Strong communication skills, motivation to work within a team, and high attention to detail
  • Previous experience in project management
  • 'C' Class Manual driver's license
