Industrial Automation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead the design, development, and implementation of industrial control systems. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of automation technology.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and commissioning control systems for industrial applications. This will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Control System Design: Design and develop control systems for automation and process control applications.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
  • Programming and Testing: Develop control algorithms and programming for PLCs, SCADA systems, and DCS. Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Maintenance and Optimization: Provide support for ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and optimization of control systems.
  • Documentation and Planning: Prepare and review technical documentation, including system specifications, control strategies, and testing procedures. Participate in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with control system design, PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.), SCADA systems, and DCS.
  • Strong understanding of control algorithms (PID, fuzzy logic, etc.).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text, or Function Block Diagram.
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, etc.).
  • Familiarity with HMI/SCADA design and configuration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose control system issues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

The following qualifications would be advantageous:

  • Experience with process control in manufacturing or oil & gas industries.
  • Knowledge of safety instrumented systems (SIS) and functional safety standards.
  • Experience with automation software tools like AutoCAD, MATLAB, or LabVIEW.
