Manufacturing Operations Manager

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced leader to oversee daily operations and maintain a safe working environment at our manufacturing plant.

This is a full-time permanent role on a rotating roster, with overtime available. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating production machinery and supervising a team of 3 tradespeople.

  • 12-hour shifts, Day - 6am – 6pm and Night - 6pm – 6am.
  • Weekends and Public Holidays as part of roster paid at penalty rates.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment and a background in Food, FMCG or packaging. They will be able to deal well under pressure and manage competing demands.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage daily operations, including production and maintenance tasks.
  2. Supervise the production team and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  3. Address any production issues that may arise and escalate as required.
  4. Foster a positive work culture and team environment.
  5. Contribute to project work, including installation and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
  6. Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
