Our clients rely on us to ensure their manufacturing operations are running smoothly and efficiently. In this key role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and preparing all mould gear and ancillaries.

To achieve this, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure moulds meet strict quality specifications and are ready for use when needed.

As a skilled Mechanical Fitter, you will perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime, troubleshoot mechanical issues and support root cause analysis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain, repair and prepare mould equipment and tooling
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support root cause analysis
  • Ensure moulds meet quality specifications and production timelines

Additionally, you will collaborate with other departments to support seamless operations, contribute to continuous improvement and process optimisation, and support training and compliance with safety protocols.

Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter is essential, with toolmaking experience an advantage. You will also require experience in manufacturing or heavy industry, strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Other requirements include:

  • Ability to read technical drawings and follow maintenance schedules
  • Familiarity with safety standards and a proactive safety mindset
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
