Procurement Category Specialist Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement professional to join our team as a Procurement Category Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the ICT & Shared Services category space and overseeing all procurement activities.

About the Role:
This is a 12-month contract opportunity with a strong potential to go permanent. You will have the chance to work in Local Government, contributing to the development and implementation of strategic category management plans for the ICT & Shared Services category.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic category management plans for the ICT & Shared Services category
- Lead/manage projects and procurement activities
- Provide timely and authoritative advice and support relating to procurement processes and systems, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and financial delegations

Requirements:
- MINIMUM 5 years' experience in procurement
- Previous Local or State Government procurement experience **necessary**:
- Technology One experience (highly desirable)
- Strong/Effective communicator - written and oral
- Proactive
- Lead management skills
