Job Description
We're on the lookout for an enthusiasticProcurement Specialistto join our growing team and make a real impact.
In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting end-to-end procurement activities—from sourcing and supplier selection to contract negotiation and vendor management.
Working closely with our Senior Procurement Manager, you'll help ensure compliance, drive value, and contribute to the success of a purpose-led organisation.

Responsibilities
Support the procurement team in complex sourcing and selecting suppliers for goods and services, leading low- to medium-complexity sourcing and participating in supplier evaluations and selection processes
Support negotiations and resolution of complex and/or sensitive vendor issues, working with various stakeholders to enable AFCA to address risk while maximizing opportunities
Develop and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders, including performing regular reviews of supplier contracts for the provision of goods and services to AFCA ensuring that they are sound, provide value for money and meet AFCA's immediate and medium-term needs
Provide advice and support to staff undertaking non-complex procurement and contract management activities to ensure AFCA achieves the best possible organizational outcomes
Partner with stakeholders to develop strategies to maximize opportunities, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify procurement requirements and develop sourcing strategies
Conduct market research to stay current on industry trends and identify new opportunities for cost savings while monitoring supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement, and developing improvement plans
Develop and implement strategies to build organizational capability in procurement, including managing organizational demand and influencing stakeholders
Maintain and update contract and procurement records and ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations
Qualifications
Entry experience in a similar procurement and/or contract management role(s).
Understanding and ability to describe basic procurement methods and strategies
Demonstrated ability to interpret contracts.
Thrives on building strong stakeholder relationships and communicating with clarity and confidence.
Experience (preferred) in developing procurement strategies, governance, reporting, and measurement
Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering end-to-end procurements and a foundational understanding and familiarity
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn
Formal qualifications in purchasing, commerce/business and supply or logistics is desirable
