About this role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented support assistant to join our team at a residential care home in the Stockton area. This is an entry-level position with a Monday-to-Friday schedule from 9:00am to 3:00pm.

The successful candidate will work closely with the senior support assistant to ensure the smooth operation of the home, taking responsibility for tasks assigned and contributing to the maintenance of high-quality services.

You will be supported and mentored to thrive in your role, working in a modern facility with up-to-date equipment and opportunities to develop your skills.

Key responsibilities include being the first point of contact for visitors, maintaining reception areas, coordinating resident entries and departures, supporting administrative tasks, and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements include strong communication and organizational skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to delivering high-quality services.

  • Requirements:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Highly organized with strong planning skills
    • Able to work effectively within a team and independently
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Understanding of aged care quality standards
    • Microsoft Office experience
    • Current police check (or willingness to obtain)
    • Current influenza vaccination
