Chef Team Leader Role
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to lead our kitchen team full-time. As a Chef Team Leader, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving food to a high standard each day.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, cook, and serve food daily to meet the highest standards.
- Assist the Operations Manager with coordinating kitchen activities, including stock management, ordering, and inventory control.
- Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene protocols at all times.
- Ensure recipes and menus are updated regularly, incorporating Indigenous ingredients where possible.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, setting a professional example in conduct and presentation.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or completed Cooking Apprenticeship.
- At least 3 years' experience cooking in a café or restaurant environment in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills to motivate and support staff.
- First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Good oral English communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
