Job Overview

As a Canine Operations Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of dog safety, welfare, and client service.

This is a leadership role that requires hands-on interaction with dogs while guiding and supporting our team members. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, leading with confidence and care, and making informed decisions in emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, guide, and motivate our canine team to ensure optimal performance.
  • Coordinate logistics, including outings, dog activities, training, and client services.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching and support staff development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain equipment and safety standards to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and implement dog training classes to build skills and develop owners.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership and team supervision skills with a track record of success.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Physical capability to adapt to a dynamic workplace environment.
  • Manual driver's license and Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) card or willingness to obtain.
  • Desirable: Dog handling or animal care experience, Pet First Aid certification, or Certificate III in Animal Care or willingness to complete.
