Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly skilled Motorcycle Traffic Response Unit Officer to join our team.
- The successful candidate will provide critical incident response services as part of our contract covering Brisbane Network (motorways and tunnels).
- Key responsibilities include ensuring the safety of colleagues, road users, and other related parties while engaging in conflict resolution and managing critical incidents.
- Optimizing safe lane availability and relaying up-to-date information to the public, supervisors, and the wider response team is also essential.
- Operating a range of vehicles to assist with civil maintenance support, including 4WD utility, attenuator truck, and tow trucks, is required.
- Collaboration with emergency services and provision of road trauma first aid and small compartmental firefighting when necessary and safe to do so are also key responsibilities.
- Emergency make-safe activities for road network restoration and returning roads to normal operational condition are additional duties.
Mandatory Requirements
- A valid motorcycle and MR drivers' licence with zero court cancellations or suspensions is required.
- Extensive experience in motor cycle operations is mandatory.
- A Construction White Card is essential.
- The ability to work both day and night shifts is necessary.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills are crucial.
- Calmness under pressure, strong self-awareness, and level-headedness are key attributes.
- At least five years of incident management experience is required.
- Full working rights in Australia must be held.
